Featured Artist - Louise Harris

Many thanks to our Featured Artist this weekend - Louise Harris - who shared her widely acclaimed work with us!  Louise has received both national and international recognition for her innovative piecing style and masterful use of color.  These are a few of the quilts she brought for us and she spent a lot of time with her admirers discussing art quilting.  We are so lucky to have her in our local community of quilters!

Day one is in the books!

We had a GREAT reception from the community today for the opening of our 10th annual quilt and fiber show!  Guests from all over NW Washington, some from British Columbia, and from the Washington Tri-Cities were here to join the fun!

Our mayor, Julia Johnson, came to select a favorite quilt as one of our "celebrity judges" and she had to work hard to make a selection!  Good thing her mom and sister came along to help out.

Country Meadow Village residents were collectively a "celebrity judge" and I heard that they finally agreed on one quilt but that there was a lot of negotiating among them.

YOU can vote for your favorite in our People's Choice award program and the ballots will be tabulated late Saturday. Ribbons awarded immediately so that Sunday show attendees can see the results!

We would love to show you our quilts and fiber art - come Saturday morning and be ready for home town fun at the Woolley Fiber Quilters quilt and fiber show!

Handmade gifts are the best!

Did you know that we have a brilliant Boutique with dozens of handmade items for your consideration??  And two brilliant Boutique Managers ready to help you with your selection.

This is an opportunity for you to support a local artisan and give unique items to your deserving friends - and maybe a little something for yourself!

So come on down to the Woolley Fiber Quilters quilt and fiber show at Cascade Middle School and enjoy all this creativity!
