2017 - the planning begins!

Starting now, we're looking forward to our 2017 quilt show!

Where will it be?  Only time will tell.  As you know, there is no large, permanent venue in Sedro-Woolley so we are the "moveable feast" of quilt shows.  We truly appreciate the building owners who have worked with us to make our shows possible.

In the meantime, we have already selected our 2017 theme!

"Blast of Birds"
June 2-3-4, 2017

And the Blast of Birds raffle quilt was revealed on Saturday, June 4.  Tickets were sold at the show and continue to be available at Cascade Fabrics in Sedro-Woolley.

Be the first on your block to buy a chance on this HUGE quilt!  84" x 104"

And work on your quilt show entries for next year's Blast of Birds!

Blast of Baskets 2016 - the people behind the scenes!

I'm not sure how many people it took to put on this show - you have already seen photos of many of them.  But it might have been 75 different folks involved in planning and executing Blast of Baskets.  For a town with a population of 10,000, we know that any event involving that many people is a BIG DEAL!

Here are a few more photos of faces you know and love.  I wish I had photos of all of them but many are camera shy.  See prior posts for more workers!!

Blast of Baskets - Day 3 winding down!

Here are a few - and I mean a FEW photos of the 250+ quilts on display at Blast of Baskets.  Just to show you what a great collection of quilts we had and to whet your appetite for next year!

If you are even remotely interested in becoming a quilter, we are all here to help you and encourage you to get started!  Some of our newest quilters won ribbons this year, and we're so proud of everyone who entered a quilt or two.

The list of winners will be published in a separate post.  In the meantime, enjoy this mini-show!
