2015 National Quilting Day Flash Mob Parade in Sedro-Woolley! (completely spontaneous)

We did it!  Once again!  And on a day when squalls were marching over Sedro-Woolley all day long.  Lucky for us, downtown Sedro-Woolley's shopping walkways are mostly covered!  And quilts are washable.

Our attendance was down a bit from past years, due to the rain wusses in our quilting community.  But we had a great time and once again represented National Quilting Day and reminded everyone of our "Blast of Farms" quilt show, June 5-6-7!

Instead of starting at the Iron Horse in the municipal parking lot, our starting point was under the covered sidewalk in front of the Stiles Law Office.  And our ending point, as always, was at Cascade Fabrics!  We spent a little time shopping at Simply Silver and More...

Spring brings National Quilting Day!

Saturday, March 21, 2015, is National Quilting Day!

What if...there was a completely spontaneous  Flash Mob Parade in downtown Sedro-Woolley to celebrate the day??

What if a bunch of quilters and quilt-appreciators met at the iron horse in the municipal parking lot at the south end of Metcalf Street, about -say - 11:00 a.m., and paraded up the sidewalk through the main business district?

What if they all carried quilts and wished bystanders and shoppers a Happy National Quilting Day?

Let's find out if that happens!

National Quilting Day Flash Mob Parade!!

We did it again!  The Super Secret National Quilting Day Flash Mob Parade was held this morning in downtown Sedro-Woolley!  A great way to celebrate the day and to remind folks of our upcoming quilt show June 1-2-3.  And a great way to add color and warmth to a cold and gray day!  We stop at nothing!

Quilters Flash Mob Parade!

It's National Quilting Day! So to celebrate we had a quilters' flash mob parade in downtown Sedro-Woolley! 14 intrepid members of WFQ (and friends) paraded the six blocks (three down- three back) to celebrate our DAY and to advertise the quilt show coming in June. The only National Quilting Day parade in America!
