Our tradition is to have a "bed turning" twice a day at our three-day show, to further our purpose in quilting education.
Teri Bever and her Bed Turning Team assemble a selection of quilts around a theme and Teri presents a narrative about each quilt as they are displayed. It takes about 20 minutes.
This is one of the most popular features of our show and people mention to us that they remember the bed turnings most of all - one attendee said, "I never miss it!"
These quilts are from the estate of the late Reynola Pakusich, who was a teacher in the Sedro-Woolley School District as well as being a prolific quilter and quilt teacher. She passed away earlier this year and we miss her. She was our Featured Quilter in 2022.
Here is the series of quilts that were shown, with Teri giving the history of the pattern and things to watch for in similar quilts. Thanks to the Team for their participation and thanks to those who came to see!
