WFQ Virtual Quilt and Fiber Show - July 25

New Favorites!  Yesterday we looked at some
old favorite quilt blocks and designs -
today is the day for new!
Some we love because they have big pieces,
are quick and easy to make,
and have graphic impact.
Some we love because they are intricate and fun.
Either way, just when you think that quilting
could have nothing new to say, here it is!

Please enjoy a FEW of the new favorite designs we have featured in our shows:

Day and Night
Jan Sager 2011
Any design split diagonally into dark and light
halves is a descendant of the log cabin quilt.

Chocolat
Elsie Summers 2012
This simple construction leaves the viewer
with an impression of curves -
but all seams are straight!

Friendship Pears
Natalie Hunskor 2013
Splitting any simple shape is a
popular design option.

Itty Bitty Primitive
Chris Weems 2013
Twister quilts in all sizes are fun!

You Made It
Londa Schultz 2013
This pattern name is Smokey River
and has a big following.

Aunt Grace
Renee Swanson 2019
An arrangement of classic snowball
and nine-patch blocks.

Cat Crack Up
Judy Johnson 2015
This Disappearing Four Patch is
part of a popular family of "disappearing"
blocks and arrangements.

Hugs and Kisses
Judy Johnson 2015
One of many possible arrangements
of "ax head" blocks.

Square in a Square
Jean Markus 2020

Japanese X and Plus
Judy Johnson 2018

Richard's Quilt
John James 2010
The Stack and Whack technique with its
kaleidoscopic result still generates
many fun quilts!

Summertime Blues
Londa Schultz 2010
A pattern from American Patchwork
and Quilting that developed a
big following.

Quilters have more fun!

See you tomorrow!
