Sponsor Spotlight: Threadmongers!

In nearly 11 years of vending specialty quilting threads, Threadmongers is headquartered in Sedro-Woolley and grows every year!  Great threads make great quilts - find your favorites and maybe some new ones at the Blast of Baskets quilt show, June 3-4-5!  Threadmongers will be there!

Sponsor and vendor!

Sponsor Spotlight: Learned Commercial, Inc.

Thanks to another of our generous 2016 sponsors!  They help us keep the admission charge very low and allow us to show off the local quilting community!

Thanks to Clay and Virginia for your ongoing support!

Sponsor Spotlight: Cascade Fabrics!

Cascade Fabrics is the hub of quilting in Sedro-Woolley.  Our very own quilt store with general sewing supplies, too!  We meet there, sew there, and SHOP there!  You would, too.  Which means you should stop in during the Blast of Baskets quilt show and as often as you can.

Thanks, Bobi Kelley, for your generosity all year long!

Look for Cascade Fabrics on Facebook!

Sponsor Spotlight: Quilters by the River!

Quilters by the River is the largest organized group of quilters in Sedro-Woolley, with about 75 members - or more!

They meet twice a month for "business" and show and tell, but also meet to quilt for those in need.  There will be LOTS of QBTR members at Blast of Baskets, volunteering and exhibiting their quilts.  When you see a member, ask about the great work they do for foster kids and premature babies!!  Thanks for your sponsorship and participation!

An ENORMOUS amount of help from Gary and Nathan!

Becky loads large quilts onto the crossbars.
This is why we need SLEEVES on the backs of our quilts!

The big banquet room is now FULL of large quilts!

Smaller quilts get pinned to background sheets.
Shirley and Jennifer are professionals!

Renee is so busy that it's hard to get a photograph of her.
That 1/125th of a second shutter speed isn't fast enough!
But here's a good try.

Sandy helps arrange the holiday entries.

More pinning and arranging - like a collage!

In the meantime, our Blast of Baskets raffle quilt goes up!
The Blast of Birds raffle quilt is cleverly stored behind it.
Only a few tickets left for Blast of Baskets!
Ticket sales for Blast of Birds begin Saturday after 4 p.m.
Thanks to Gary and Dave for figuring out how to hang these!

Noni arranges the 12 x 12 exhibition for hanging.

See you all tomorrow!
